Over the last couple of years I’ve driven buy the Texaco Building in Keachi, Louisiana and have watched the building slowly being restored. I’m not sure what the building was used for or what it’s going to be. It looks like it might be someone’s private collection or could be another business coming into town.

The building doesn’t look like it was a gas station or an old service station. It looks more like it was some sort of store or it could have been an early auto dealer. Sometimes back in the early days auto dealer put their dealership in one of the downtown buildings off main street or the town square. If that was the case, the front of the building would have been the store front and sides would have the service center and gas station. This particular building is big enough to be able to have done that at one time.
