During my time exploring old bridges in Hinds County, Mississippi I came across an old boarding house in Terry, Mississippi. Its an interesting building but I can’t find much information on it.
The Old Boarding House in Terry, Mississippi
As I mentioned above, I can’t find much information on the building. What I found was on a Facebook group. One of the members referred to the building as the Old Boarding House in Terry, Mississippi. Its a bit confusing but from what I can tell the building was moved at some point and then it was recently moved back near its original location.
Current Status
It looks like the owner painted one of the exterior walls and stopped. The rest of the exterior needs work. When I looked the windows, there isn’t much going on. It needs restoration but its in far better shape and shouldn’t be to hard to save it.
About the Images
The images were shot on a late afternoon as the storms were rolling in. I had some issues getting some of the images to stay in focus and cloud exposure. I was able to fix some of the issues in post. I used my Sony a6000 using my Sony SELP18105G E PZ 18-105mm F4 G OSS. I then edited the images with Adobe Lightroom CC and Topaz Labs Denoise AI and Topaz Labs Sharpen AI and DXO NIK Collection
