Back in November 2020 we  were looking for Christmas Gift ideas when we came across The USB Lighter Store and were instantly impress with the idea of a USB Rechargeable Candle Lighter. After some research we decided to give them a try and purchased one for my brother, one for my parents, and one for us.

USB Rechargeable Candle Lighter – Features

The USB Rechargeable Candle Lighter isn’t just for lighting candles, it can be used to light anything you would light with matches or a lighter. The lighter is perfect for lighting candles, it’s gas appliance safe for gas BBQ’s, kitchen stoves and fireplaces. With this in mind, we thought this would be perfect for those times my brother needs to start up the grill, smoker, camp fire when his fire starting tools aren’t working. Plus they work great for his wife when she wants to light candles.

USB Rechargeable Candle Lighter – The Review

USB Rechargeable Candle Lighter

The lighter comes in minimal recycled cardboard box with the instructions printed on the inside of the box. The box is folded up in  a way that locks up the lighter and USB cable from moving around in the box.

First Impressions

USB Rechargeable Candle Lighter

On first impression both my wife were impressed with the quality of the lighter. It’s doesn’t have that cheap feel you get from disposable grilling lighters. The buttons are in the right place so it feels comfortable in my hands. Only thing I was disappointed to see that the port is in the middle of the lighter and it’s a micro-USB mount.

Usage

I’ve used the lighter to light candles with almost no wicks, candles melted down so low I can’t reach the candle if it’s in a tall glass jar, lighting torches, trash can burn barrels, and camp fires without issues. Even in the wind stuff catches fire if I have used starter fluid.

Charging

Charging is a bit annoying. With the port being on the side it puts the cable at a weird charging position. With the short cable it hangs nicely from the wall charger. Laying flat on the counter it also works fine. But if you use the lighter stand, it looks funny and takes up more space. The stand is more of an afterthought and really isn’t needed unless you just want to display your lighter or you don’t have place to store it. I don’t like it and we only used for testing.

It holds a charge for a long time. Since owning it, I’ve only had to do the first charge and then do a another charge about 2 months ago.  Charging to full only takes about if I remember correctly.

Final Thoughts

USB Rechargeable Candle Lighter

We purchased the USB Rechargeable Candle Lighter with no intention of reviewing it but we were so impressed we decided I needed to do a review on it. As of right now I have no affiliation of the company.

We love the fact the company uses ecofriendly packaging and the lighter is designed to last. If we can get a few years out of it we will be happy with the purchase.
