The TaoTronics TT-DL057 LED Desk Lamp with Wireless Charging is one of TaoTronics’ latest LED desk lamp. Included in many of their latest desk lamp is wireless charging. After hearing about their latest desk lamp with wireless charging I had to get my hands on one.

I pulled features from the lamp packaging since for some reason the lamp looks to be removed from Amazon, Wal-mart.com, and TaoTronics.

TaoTronics TT-DL057 LED Desk Lamp With Wireless Charging – The Review

The TaoTronics TT-DL057 LED Desk Lamp with Wireless Charging comes in a nice box with pictures of the lamp and several different phones on the charging pad of the lamp. On the inside the packaging is nicely done. It protects the lamp and its other included items.

The included Items are the lamp, instructions, warranty card and the power supply. The Power supply and ugly plug with built in transformer that takes up space around the electrical outlet.

The TaoTronics TT-DL057 LED Desk Lamp with Wireless Charging is one of TaoTronics’ latest LED desk lamp is made well but made from brush aluminum for the charging pad with touch sensitive buttons (3 buttons that control on/off, color selection, and dimmer). The rest of the lamp is made from inexpensive plastics. The hinges are plastic but oversized and designed to last. Overall its a nice looking lamp.

The buttons are in places where you can easily access them. On the base of the lamp you have a large painted circle with the TT logo in it. Just place the phone on that logo with the sweet spot on your phone and it starts to charge. On the backside of the base you will  the power port.

Lighting Function

The lighting puts off just enough light to add to light of a keyboard at night or add some extra light in a dark room. You have four different color temperatures including daylight, bright white, soft white and another white light color.

I’ve tried the various light colors and I use daylight for most times, when I have a migraine I use a soft white and dim the light to the lowest setting. I found no issues with flicker lights and the LEDs are covered by a white plastic lens that will block the harsh lights.

Charging My Samsung Note 8

I found the wireless charging to work as designed. Its a little picky during placement but once you find it and do it a couple of times its all about memory. After a few weeks of use, I can start wireless charging on the first attempt.

When comparing charging with TaoTronics TT-DL057 LED Desk Lamp With Wireless Charging with my Anker PowerWave 7.5 Fast Wireless Charging Pad is about 40 minutes faster.

Charging my phone from 38% to full the lamp says it takes 2 hours and 15 minutes to charge to 100%. With the Anker charger says my from 38% to full takes an 1 hour and 45 minute.

When charging the phone base doesn’t get hot, it just gets a little warm as it should.

Final Thoughts

I have the The TaoTronics TT-DL057 LED Desk Lamp with Wireless Charging is one of TaoTronics’ latest LED desk lamp. setup at my desk where I do most of my production related stuff and when I work from home. The lamp sits to the left of my computer monitors. Whenever I’m at my desk I have the light on and my phone is sitting on the charging pad. I prefer to work in the dark and only have my work space lit up and this lamp does a great job at doing that. It only lights up the area around my keyboard and the writing surface next to the keyboard. If its to much light, I set the dimness lower. If its still to much I can bend the lamp arm away from me.

Wireless charging works fine. I read several reviews that the wireless charging didn’t work. They never tried to exchange it for another unit (there’s always possibility to get bad unit from any manufacturer). It is a bit slower than some of the other wireless chargers on the market but those have more power and generally need additional cooling.

The only concern I have was I can’t find this unit available online on Amazon, TaoTronics, or Walmart. So my question is, has this new item been discontinued already or just on limited supply? When I purchased the lamp a few weeks ago I found the lamp on Amazon and Walmart. Now its only available from your local Walmart Store. I’ll update this review once I know more about the Lamp and where it can be found online.
