I’m good at losing lens caps. It doesn’t matter if I leave the cap in my gear bag, in my pocket, or my car, I will lose it at some point. My last cap lasted three years but I lost it a few months ago. I think it fell out of my pocket on a lonely backroad in Northeast Texas during my 2022 Spring East Texas Road.  Because of that, I needed to replace my cap before my lens got damaged. I have an extra lens cap that came with my K&C lens filter but that one isn’t a quick release and I need one that I can quickly be removed. So, I ended with a Breakthrough Photography 72mm Snap-On Center Punch Lens Cap. There really isn’t much to say about the lens cover. Below is my short review.

Sorry about the picture quality. I didn’t look at the images until just before posted the article. They aren’t the greatest and I plan to grab a few new ones in a few weeks during vacation.

Breakthrough Photography 72mm Snap-On Center-Pinch Lens Cap – Review

No products found.

The Breakthrough Photography 72mm Snap-On Center-Pinch Lens Cap is made well and has a strong locking mechanism. I found nothing sharp on it that could damage the lens or cause damage to me or my gear.

New Breakthrough Photography Lens Cap on my Sony Camera

It mounts easily to my Sony lens in about a second. Just like the Sony OEM lens cap.  The only issue I have with the cap is that if you bump the pinch mechanism the cap might fall off.  I will have to keep that in mind when using it.

The Lens Cap Fits as It Should

Overall, I like the lens cap and will get another one when I Lose this one.  If you need a replacement lens cap and like the center pinch lens cap then the Breakthrough Photography 72mm Snap-On Center-Pinch Lens Cap might be a good option. They also have different sizes to fit different lenses. So make sure you know your lens size before ordering.
