This week’s random image was taken during a rural explore with several photographer friends. We were exploring rural Texas Hill Country. The image is of an abandoned school gym and a forgotten basketball slowly deflating.
Forgotten Basketball
The basketball was found in small rural community that lost its status of being a town decades ago when the population declined. The small rural school and impressive rock exterior gym was converted to a community center and is still used for events but the building is in rough shape. From the looks of it, the gym hasn’t been used in a while.
About the Image
I shot the forgotten basketball in the near dark and dusty gym. I used a flash light to light up the ball and used my Sony a6000 and a Sony SEL16F28 16mm f/2.8 lens. I then edited the image in Adobe Lightroom CC.
