This week’s random image is of the Old Wilkinson County Jail in Wilkinson County, Mississippi. I came across this small town jail when I was exploring a town on my trip down to Fort Adams, Mississippi.

The Old Wilkinson County Jail – History

I have plans to visit this jail again and write up a history of it in the future. More research is needed on this location.

I can’t find any information on it. At one time I had found some info on it, but for whatever reason I can’t find that website.

From some of the interior pictures I found online, its a small rural jail that has a handful of jail cells and office area and maybe living quarters for the guards.

About the Images

The image was shot mid day on a sunny day. I used my Sony a6000 using my Sony SELP18105G E PZ 18-105mm F4 G OSS lens. The image was then edited with Adobe Lightroom CC and Topaz Labs A.I. Clear  and DXO NIK Collection to clean up the image, remove noise, and recover the lost details.
