This week’s random image is of an abandoned farmhouse near Liberty, Mississippi. I came across this house when I was on a road trip to Fort Adams, Mississippi to photograph the abandoned church there.
Abandoned Farmhouse Near Liberty, Mississippi
The abandoned farmhouse near Liberty, Mississippi is another old homestead that is lost to history. The current owners aren’t using the house just using the land. As many of these old and forgotten homesteads, I find the current owners do not know much of about the abandoned houses on their property or they tell me that when they asked the previous owner it was abandoned when the purchased the property.
The house itself seems to be in decent shape and may be maintained enough use as a deer lease or as storage. Its a small house with an addition. As to its age it looks like it might been built around the 1930s or 1940s. I couldn’t get close enough to get a closer look.
About the Image
The image was shot mid morning on a sunny day. I used Sony a6000 using my Sony SELP18105G E PZ 18-105mm F4 G OSS. The images were then edited with Adobe Lightroom CC and Topaz Labs A.I. Clear and DXO NIK Collection to clean up the images, remove noise, and recover the lost details.
