This week’s random image is from my 2017 West Texas road trip and its a picture of the old State Hwy 23 Bridge at the Clear Fork of the Brazos River – Shackelford County, Texas.
State Hwy 23 Bridge at the Clear Fork of the Brazos River – Shackelford County, Texas
The State Hwy 23 Bridge at the Clear Fork of the Brazos River – Shackelford County, Texas was built in 1929 by Virginia Bridge Co. When US 283 was built parallel to State Hwy 23, the bridge was eventually closed to cars. Luckily the bridge was listed in 1996 in the national register of historic places so the bridge couldn’t be torn down. Currently the bridge is maintained enough to keep it open for foot traffic.
The bridge makes a great view spot to view the river or a great place to take a break from your trip and wonder around the bridge. When I made the stop, US 283 was quiet and so was the area around the bridge. I spent about 30 minutes taking in the view of the river and exploring the area around the bridge.
About the Image
The State Hwy 23 Bridge at the Clear Fork of the Brazos River was shot on a bright sunny day in July using my Sony a6000 Camera and with a Sony SEL16F28 16mm f/2.8 lens. I then edited the image with Adobe Lightroom CC and Topaz Labs A.I. Clear and DXO NIK Collection to clean up the image, remove noise, and recover the lost details.
Neat pic thanks
