Abandoned Service Station in West Texas

The abandoned service station in West Texas was a random stop I took as I was traveling somewhere between Burkett, Texas and Albany, Texas. Sadly, it was during a time when my internet was limited in that area so I may not have been able to save the old service station location. I have no clue where I found it.

The service station is an old 1 or 2 pump and 2-bay garage styled service station seen in the early days of service stations. Probably an old mom and pop service station. The station is in bad condition and most of the plaster over the main part of the building is coming off.

This style of service station reminds a lot of the old Sinclair Service Stations. Many of those old service station plastered up the buildings and then painted them white.

If anyone recognizes this old service station and knows where it is and knows its history please comment below.

About the Image

The abandoned service station in West Texas was shot on a bright sunny day in July using my Sony a6000 Camera and with a Sony E 55-210mm F4.5-6.3 Lens.   I then edited the image with Adobe Lightroom CC and Topaz Labs A.I. Clear and DXO NIK Collection to clean up the image, remove noise, and recover the lost details.
