The Triple DDD Motel in Wichita Falls, Texas  off old HWY-287 has been closed for years. The current owners have abandoned most of the buildings and used the rest for storage. For years, the owners had several old cars parked in the lot that looked as if they were left behind after the place closed down. But over the years, the owners have added more junk cars and other junk to the lot.

Final Thoughts

I have always wanted to visit the Triple DDD Motel in Wichita Falls, Texas  but, I didn’t want to drive down there to shoot the old signs. And I was right, the place isn’t worth the trip alone. But if you are passing through town, its worth the stop.

As long as the signs still stand, its worth a stop just to see the signs. They don’t make signs like that anymore.

About the Images

The images were shot by hand with my Sony Nex-3N and a Sony SEL16F28 16mm f/2.8 as the storms were passing through. I then edited the images in Adobe Lightroom.  Next post processed with Topaz Clarity to add texture, brighten, and bring out the details in the images. Then I removed the dust spots and rain spots. Finally I used Topaz DeNoise to remove the noise from the image.
