Sitting on a lonely stretch of HWY is the small town of Ashland, Louisiana. There isn’t much left of the original town. You will find a government building, a couple of nearby churches, houses, and an abandoned Masonic Lodge.

The Old Masonic Lodge in Ashland, Louisiana

There isn’t much information about the old Masonic Lodge. I did find on a Facebook group the lodge has been closed for a number of years. One group member said they were members and hadn’t been there in years. He did mention the first floor was used as the kitchen and the second floor was the community meeting room.

Abandoned Building in Ashland, LA

To me the Masonic Lodge in Ashland, Louisiana looks like an old boarding house.

I took the pictures from the car. I was behind schedule and didn’t want to get a closer look at this trip.  Someone posted interior pictures from 2001 and looks like there was some junk or maybe some old furniture was left behind when the lodge was closed. The building looks like it could be saved but with the doors left open and a couple of the windows busted out it won’t last long with the elements getting in.

This old Masonic Lodge looks more like an old boarding house than a lodge.

About the Images

I used my Sony a6000 and my Sony SELP18105G E PZ 18-105mm F4 G OSS lens. The images were then edited with Adobe Lightroom CC, Topaz Labs Denoise AI and Topaz Labs Sharpen AIAurora HDR (no longer available but still a great product), and Luminiar Neo to clean up the images.
