Family Country Kitchen & Convience Store

This old country store is one of those old mom and pop family stores that you find out on the back country roads. These old stores were built to support a small community or a stretch of highway back in the day when people didn’t drive 50 plus miles a day. Some of those stores survived for years. From the few stories I’ve read and a few people I have spoken with, many of those survivors closed down because the owners retired and the younger generations didn’t want to continue the business. Others closed because fast food chains, large grocery stores, and big box stores moved within driving distance for those willing to drive it. The small rural store couldn’t compete with the big chain stores.

About the Images

Images were shot early afternoon on a sunny day. I used Sony a6000 using my Sony SELP18105G E PZ 18-105mm F4 G OSS. The images were then edited with Adobe Lightroom CC and Topaz Labs A.I. Clear  and DXO NIK Collection to clean up the images, remove noise, and recover the lost details.
