For most photographers getting spots on the sensor is annoying. Most of the time it can be fixed during post but that’s one more step added to the editing process. Some camera almost never get stuff on the sensor. But for Sony users, we know all to well how easy it is for our sensors to attract dust and other debris. The Review

VSGO DDR16S DSLR APS-C Sensor Cleaning Kit

I’ve been using the VSGO DDR16S DSLR APS-C Sensor Cleaning Kit in various size kits for the last few years and have been impressed with them. They always come in a nicely packaged box with individual wrapped swabs that are big enough to cover the sensor. The swabs also come with a small bottle of cleaning fluid. I’ve never used the fluid because some of the Amazon reviewers said that it didn’t work well or damaged the sensors. These may have been operators error because other reviewers and the few YouTube videos I’ve seen use the fluid with no issues. I use Altura’s cleaning solution that came with their camera cleaning kit.

I find that on average it takes 3 or 4 swabs to clean the sensor. But it’s also a good idea to have an extra one on hand if the first two didn’t work.

I start off by spraying the swab with spray and never the camera (spraying the camera can damage the sensor). Then I start at one edge and wipe to the other side. I then flip the swab and wipe the other direction. Then I take the dry swab and repeat the process. Once completed, I repeat the steps if necessary. On occasion, I need a 5th to remove swab smudges.

They work great and I haven’t had a issue an issue with them yet. I do recommend that when you get down to five swabs, that you order more.

Next time I will plan on purchasing 40 swabs pack. If you need to clean your APS-C camera Sensor give the VSGO DDR16S DSLR APS-C Sensor Cleaning Kit a try. To learn more and to purchase from Amazon.
