The HyperGear Fabrix2 Portable Bluetooth Wireless Speakers is a stylish portable speaker that was designed to not only sound good but look good in almost any room. The speaker is designed for indoor and outdoor usage. I have to say they are loud inside and loud enough for listening to music on a small patio.

HyperGear Fabrix2 Portable Bluetooth Wireless Speakers – The Review

The HyperGear Fabrix2 Portable Bluetooth Wireless Speakers is a good option for budget-minded shoppers looking for inexpensive Bluetooth Speakers and doesn’t mind having low quality sound.

First Impressions

The speaker comes in retail packaging that looks great, and the package also does a great job of keeping the device during shipping and possible drops.

The speaker itself looks great and looks even better sitting on a bookshelf. But that’s about it. It’s made of cheap plastic with high-quality speaker fabric. The buttons feel cheap and if you press too hard it feels like they may break.

Hypergear Speaker buttons

On the back side, you will find a USB port, micro-SD port, AUX port, and USB-C for charging.

Hypergear Back Panel Ports

When powering on, the speaker has an annoyingly loud voice that says powering on. There is no way to disable it. Why is it so loud?

Sound Quality

The quality isn’t there. I’ve tested cheaper, no-name brands and some of them sound better right out of the box and get better over time. But I’ve run them almost 30 hours and they sound cheap, and bass is lacking.

I tested the sound quality with rock, country, rap, and audiobooks. Rock and country sound ok, but rap sounds bad and the speakers just complain unless turn the sound down to about halfway.

Charging and Usage Time

I found the listed features for charge times and usage times are accurate. I put the music levels at about 80% and I got a little over 5 hours of usage. When it comes to charging it took about 4 hours to charge. As far I know it doesn’t have passthrough charging. I normally don’t use this feature and don’t test it.

There is no mention of charging for 10 minutes and getting 90 minutes of usage like other brands have. So, I typically charge it overnight. Not great for those needing all-day music and need a quick charge to get them a few more hours of listening.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I do not like the HyperGear Fabrix2 Portable Bluetooth Wireless Speakers I wouldn’t buy one. For me, I’d prefer to spend a little more and get better sound quality. All I like is it looks good and is ok for those times when I do not need high-quality music. I cannot recommend this product.
