Blitzwolf BW-S2 Bluetooth Selfie Stick – Specs and Features

Blitzwolf BW-S2 Bluetooth Selfie Stick

Blitzwolf’s Bluetooth Selfie Stick was designed to be as small as possible but expand out large enough to get your group shot or some of the landscape behind you. To help get the size down, you can flip the cell phone mount down. When the Blitzwolf BW-S2 Bluetooth Selfie Stick is fully collapsed and in travel mode it less than 7.5 inches long!

To help with wrist strain the selfie stick uses a lightweight aluminum alloy along with ABS and PC Materials to keep the weight down and a soft comfortable grip. With all these materials it still only weighs 128 grams.

To help get you that perfect angle the adjustable cell mount/clamp has a 270 degree rotation.

The universal cell phone mount/clamp can go as small as 2.20 inches and stretches to 3.34 inches. This clamp will hold most 3.5 inch to 6 inch smart phones. If you have a case over your phone, the clamp may not work.

The foldable rod portion of the selfie stick uses a stepless shaft that expands from 7.48 inches to 25.98 inches (29.13 inches including the clamp).

To keep from carrying a cable with you on your adventures, the Blitzwolf BW-S2 Bluetooth Selfie Stick comes with a powerful 50 mAh lithium battery that can keep your stick powered for up to 20 hours of continuous use. It will hold a charge in standby mode for up to 72 hours.

If you find that you run out of power, grab your micro-USB cable from your car and charge it while on the go. It only takes 30 minutes to get a complete charge.

To keep you wireless, the selfie stick uses Bluetooth 3.0 to connect to your Android and iOS devices.

Blitzwolf BW-S2 Bluetooth Selfie Stick – Review

About a week ago Blitzwolf sent me the Blitzwolf BW-S2 Bluetooth Selfie Stick and I have to say that I am impressed with the quality, the look, and usability of this this selfie stick. I’m not big on taking selfies but in the future, I plan to take selfies on my explores, hikes and road trips with the wife and I think this selfie stick will do the trick. Below is my real life experience with the selfie stick.

First Impressions:

Blitzwolf BW-S2 Bluetooth Selfie Stick

The selfie stick comes in a long narrow brown box with the Blitzwolf product name on it. On the inside, the product is nicely displayed with paperwork on top and the micro-USB cable hidden in the box. It comes in matte black and looks almost like a professional tool.

After pulling out the Blitzwolf BW-S2 Bluetooth Selfie stick out of the box I found it to be lightweight and made to be used. Its mount is plastic and so is the hinge. But the plastic is strong and should last. The shaft expands out with a locking step system. Each section locks into place and will hold that position until you extend it or shorten it.

The grip has a rubber like grip that does a great job at keeping the handle in my hand. The camera trigger button is in the perfect spot. When you hold the stick to take a picture the button sits right where your thumb wants to be.

The trigger button is also the same button power the device on/off and pair it to your cell phone. The power port is at the bottom of the handle and is out of the way.

Testing:

As to testing, there really isn’t much to test on it. It works or it doesn’t. For this selfie stick, it works well.

After looking over the Blitzwolf BW-S2 Bluetooth Selfie Stick I connected it to my LG G4 on the first try. It only took a few seconds to connect. Once connected I was able to take pictures. The blue solid light means its paired to your device.

The stick was only about halfway charged. So I charged the device and it only took a few minutes to charge. Once charged, I put my phone in the mount. Unfortunately my phone case makes it to large to mount to the selfie stick. Once I removed the case, I was able to mount the phone to the stick.

Once fully extended I held the phone out at different angles to see if the phone was to heavy for the stick. On cheaper selfie sticks I found that a heavy phone can cause the shaft to shift from side to side. The Blitzwolf Selfie Stick held my phone with ease and didn’t shift or move out of position through out the testing process.

I ended up out doing some rural exploring one afternoon and I took the selfie stick with me. I took a handful of pictures and found that it took some getting use to but it helped take some great selfie pics.

Once I finished the selfie test I tried taking some regular pictures. I found that can it help create a steady shot. Plus if you need to get some height or want to get low without leaning over, this selfie stick mount can be adjust for almost needed angle.

I did find that sometimes the shutter lagged if I took a lot of pictures. But I think it was the phone and not the stick causing this.

Final Thoughts

After playing with the Blitzwolf BW-S2 Bluetooth Selfie Stick I will be adding it to my rural exploring trips, hiking trips, and adventures with the wife and friends. I plan on keeping it in my car and with its short charge time, I can check the charge before the trip and then charge it if needed.

I found that if you power it down between uses it will hold a charge longer. The device will automatically connect to the device when both devices are turned on and in range.

Because of its size, its not exactly pocket sized. I did put it in my back pocket and it does stick out enough that it gets caught on things. But its small enough to fit between the seat and the center console where its out of the way but easy to get to.

On a backpacking trip, this can be added to a backpack pocket or it can be strapped to the pack. For those that carry a purse/handbag, its small enough to fit in a large purse or beach bag. Its so light you won’t notice it in your gear.

If you are looking for a Bluetooth connected selfie stick then I recommended that you take a look at the Blitzwolf BW-S2 Bluetooth Selfie Stick. As of the writing of this review, you can pick up this selfie stick for $15.99 from Amazon. I’ve seen some of the cheap generic selfie sticks cost more than this and not even come close in build quality.
