Review: Anker PowerLine+ Micro USB Premium Durable Double Braided Nylon Cable

I’ve been told I have to many Micro USB cables. But I’m in the open that you can never have to many cables. I keep several in my cars, one by my bedside for those late night charging needs, and I some of my photography mobile gear requires a micro USB to charge or sync to my phone or computer. My choice for charging my gear is the Anker PowerLine+ Series. I realized a few weeks ago I needed another Micro USB cable that I could carry with my while on the go or at work. To resolve this minor issue I purchased an Anker PowerLine+ Micro USB Premium Durable Double Braided Nylon Cable. I purchased this cable because of its quality and the fact that it comes with its own storage pouch.

I will admit I have a ton of cables but many of them are OEM and junk service station cheapo cables. As I get more premium micro USB cables I will get rid of the junk cables.

The cable came wrapped in its grey pouch with a piece of logoed rice paper with a thank you card and packaged in a simple box.

The cable has premium connectors that you find on the more expensive premium brands of cables. For added durability it is wrapped in a nylon material.

I like the look and feel, but it shows stains easier now. Its almost impossible to remove those stains without getting the cable wet. I don’t know if wetting the cable will damage them, but I prefer not to find out.

As to the quality, its made to last for years and will outlast as many bends and twists I can throw at it. My other Anker cables are still going strong and most of the cables I have start to have issues about 6 months into use. But not my Anker cables. They are still as good as new and my new should be the same!

When it comes to charging, it charges fast. As long you have it hooked to a premium charger (doesn’t have to be fast charger) they will charge faster than those cheap charger/cables options out there.
