I love flashlights and I’m constantly buying a new one. I realized that I should be sharing my experiences with the good and the bad flashlights I’ve used over the last few years. One of my favorite lights is currently unavailable on Amazon but if they get some more I would recommend getting one of these. Take at look at my review of the Anker Bolder LC40 Flashlight.

Anker Bolder LC40 Flashlight – The Review

Anker Bolder LC 40 Flashlight

I won’t go much into detail now that this model is no longer offered and Anker is using the LC40 for another great flashlight.

I’ve used this light for about 3 years now and love it. I keep in my gear bag for light photography. It does an awesome job at painting my subjects. The above picture was shot at the airport museum of an old retired military fire truck. I lit up the interior from a few different angles.

During these shoots I was running the light for several hours at time. Constantly doing on and off actions to the buttons and the batteries never failed me. I’ve had the batteries installed for months and they still hold a charge. I do change out the batteries at least once a year and carry a spare set during my shoots. There isn’t away to measure how much battery is left.

When I go extended amounts of time without doing a photoshoot I put the light on the table next to the door. Living in the dark its dark. This little guy will brighten up several hundred feet in front of me so I can clearly see what I need to and go out several hundred more and see enough to know to be on the look out for something if needed.

The light doesn’t heat up and is the prefect size for a pocket carry or to store in the glove box of your car. I liked my light so much I gave a set to my father last year and he still talks about how much he likes it. He keeps one in his car and one his tool box.

I highly recommend the Anker Bolder LC40 Flashlight. If you can’t find one of these, then make sure to check out Anker’s other flash lights they have a lot of great options and they all preform well from what I’ve heard. Check out my Anker Rechargeable Bolder LC90 LED Flashlight Review.
