Review: 2-Pack Anker 6ft / 1.8m Nylon Braided Tangle-Free Micro USB Cable

I recently purchased a 2-pack Anker 6ft / 1.8m Nylon Braided Tangle-Free Micro USB Cable because I got tired of buying the cheap 3 ft short cables that charge slowly, to short to talk and charge, and breaks down after a few months of use. After doing the math, I decided that replacing cheap cables every few months costs more than buying one or two premium cables that will last a few years.

After some research I decided to try out the Anker cables. All of their cables get good reviews and their newer ones have the best quality, life span, and look better than their older models. But don’t get me wrong, from all the reviews they are all good ones as well. Plus they come with an 18 month warranty.

Since I needed two 6 ft cables for my car I ended up going with the 2 pack 6 ft nylon braided cables.They mostly stay hooked up in the car, but every once in a while they come out when I need to charge my gear on location.

The cables came wrapped in velcro style wire ties with a thank you card that’s packaged in a simple box.

The cables have gold connectors that you find on the more expensive premium brands the cables. They are also wrapped in a nylon material.

I like the look and feel, but they show stains easier now. Its almost impossible to remove those stains without getting the cables wet. I don’t know if wetting the cables will damage them, but I prefer not to find out.

As to the quality, they look to be well made and look like they will last for years and will outlast as many bends and twists you can throw at it.

When it comes to charging, they charge fast. As long you have them hooked to a premium charger (doesn’t have to be fast charger) they will charge faster than those cheap charger/cables options out there.

If you need a two set of cables or want to have an extra one in your gear, then this is the product for you. Two for the price of one.

Anker is a great company and their customer service is top notch. I had an issue with my last order. It wasn’t related to a defect in the product but a listing issue from a previous product order. After contacting them, they responded the first day they were back in the office and resolved the issues quickly. I won’t go into detail, but after they fixed my issue, I’m a fan of their products and customer service team. If I need something they put their name on, I will purchase from them first.
