This week’s random image is of a shot taken from my brother’s side-by-side ORV as we were exploring one of the creek bottoms and trails at his river camp.
Exploring the Creek Bottoms Near the Homochitto River in Mississippi
A few years ago my brother and his wife purchased a Homochitto River camp spot at one at a nearby offroad camp. The camp has a ton of trails that include options to explore the creek bottoms in the camp. Most of the trails are difficult, but some are easy when there isn’t much water in the creeks.
This particular section of creek bottoms is a long one with some difficulties that include navigating around mud holes, deep water spots, and fallen trees. If you take the creek far enough it will take you under the highway and to the other part of the property.
Whenever I get the chance my brother and I will drive around the property for a few hours and grill out at the camp.
On this particular trip, we decided to explore the farthest parts of the camp. From what we found, not that many people explore the area. There are a ton of trails to explore there, but most are more difficult.
