This week’s random image is of an old car and windmill at sunset with the Medicine Mounds in the background out in West Texas during our trip to do a night in Medicine Mound, Texas.
Old Car and Windmill at Sunset
Almost 4 years ago my friend and I came across this abandoned car and windmill and just had to photograph them. When I originally framed up the image I wanted the car, windmill and the Medicine Mounds in the background. Unfortunately, when it came time to edit the images, I was unhappy with it. It was wash out and to noisy for my liking.
Back in December I started to revisit some of my older images and images that didn’t turn out to see if I can fix them up. Between using my new editing skills and new software packages designed for recovering damaged images I was able to save several pictures such as this one. In the next month or so I will be going into more details on how I was able to fix a few damaged images.
About the Image
This image was taken back in 2018 and was completely washed out and couldn’t be used. But after some editing, I was able to fix some of the issues in post. I used my Sony a6000. I then edited the images with Adobe Lightroom CC, Topaz Labs Denoise AI, AI, Topaz Labs Sharpen AI, Aurora HDR, and Luminar AI.
Thats neat and thanks
