This week’s random image is of an old barn surrounded by wildflowers that my wife and I came across during a hike and taking the long way back to the house.
Old Barn Surrounded by Wildflowers
Last spring my wife and I came back from a day of hiking at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge and decided to stop by Carpenter’s Bluff Bridge to see what the city has done to since closing the bridge. On our way out to the bridge we found an old barn near Denison, Texas surrounded by yellow wildflowers.
I do not know much about this barn. It looks to be an older maybe built in the 1970s and 1980s. It could be older and the owner covered it in metal to preserve it. I’ve driven by the old bridge a few times over the years and it looks like it isn’t being used anymore. But you never know. I’d love to know more. But usually these old barns are lost to history.
Please Note this article was originally written for VanishingTexas.net and as I take more pictures of the barn they will be added there. This article will not be updated.
About the Image
The old barn near Denison, Texas was shot from the road on a sunny afternoon. I used my Sony a6000 with my Sony SELP18105G E PZ 18-105mm F4 G OSS. I then edited the image with Adobe Lightroom CC and Topaz Labs Denoise AI and Topaz Labs Sharpen AI and DXO NIK Collection
