This week’s random image is of an Old Red Barn I found while exploring the back roads in Grayson County, Texas right before the storms passed through the area.
Old Red Barn on a Lonely Dirt Road
You just don’t see these old barns anymore. They are either torn down and replaced with ugly metal barns or they are left and forgotten. Many times new land owners take over the land and they let the barn go. I’ve seen the old barns covered in metal. Many times these old buildings are mistaken for new buildings. Luckily this one is still being taken care of.
This barn isn’t being used from what I can tell but from what I found was the family that owns the land still uses the barn for family pictures. The barn looks to be in decent shape and repairs have been made in the past.
