This week’s random image is from a road trip I took back in 2015 with a photographer friend out west. The trip was a long fast 26 hour trip where we stopped at a lot of spots such as this old abandoned church in Jack County, Texas.

Abandoned Church in Jack County, Texas

This little church is one of my favorite places to visit when in Jack County or passing near by. I’ve been to the church at least 4 or 5 times in the last 5 years and I’ve been watching this church slowly fall apart as nature, scrapers, and vandals have their way with the old church.

I have more pictures of the church inside and out and will share them at some point. But the plan is to share these images of the church and document its history if I can, you can will it find it over at VanishingTexas.Net

About the Image

The image was shot with an old Nikon D5000 and Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR during a warm sunny morning and I then edited the images with Adobe Lightroom CC and Topaz Labs Denoise AI and Topaz Labs Sharpen AI and DXO NIK Collection to clean up the image, remove noise, and recover the lost details.
