I’ve been visiting this church since 2015 and love it. Over the years, I’ve noticed between the neglect and the vandalism the church is getting worse every year. Kids have knocked out some of the stain glass, others have taken items from the church such as old appliances, and others just trash the place.

Their isn’t much information on the church. The church was built in 1910 and was eventually abandoned. It was like the congregation decided to close up and forget about the church one day. Even with all the damage to the church I found the sanctuary to be what it probably looked like  on the last day of service. The Sunday school area still had some weathered materials.

According to one visitor, back in 2010 she saw the same thing but from her pictures it looks like the vandals hadn’t found the church yet.

Please don’t ask where this church is. Its easy to find if you do a little research. There has been to much damage to the church to give out the location information.

About the Image

While my friend was photographing other parts of the church and I was waiting on him, I decided to shoot random shots of the interior. I think this one came out well. I used my Sony a6000 and a Sony SEL16F28 16mm f/2.8 lens. I then edited the image in Adobe Lightroom CC. I then edited the image in Adobe Lightroom CC. I used Topaz Labs A.I. Clear and DXO NIK Collection to clean up the image, remove noise, and recover the lost details.
