Rutted Out Dirt Road in Fannin County, Texas

I pass by this road many times  throughout the year when I am heading over to my buddy’s place. Most of the time this road is to muddy, rutted out by tractors, or I’m in a vehicle without all wheel drive and al-terrain tires. During this trip I had the 2011 Subaru Forester and I gave the road a try. It eat up the road like it was nothing.

If you think this road is bad, its not the worse I’ve seen in Fanning County. As I find these roads I will share my experiences. Sadly my Forester blew its motor. We ended up buying a a 2018 Subaru Outback to replace it and once I wear out the street tires I will add al-terrain tires and start up the dirt road exploration again.

About the Image

This old dirt road in Fannin County, Texas was shot on sunny and windy day using my Sony a6000 Camera and with a Sony SEL16F28 16mm f/2.8 lens.  I then edited the image with Adobe Lightroom CC and Topaz Labs Denois AI and Topaz Labs Sharpen AI and DXO NIK Collection to clean up the image, remove noise, and recover the lost details.
