This week’s random image was taken back in August 2017 during a North Texas road trip. I came across this abandoned North Texas Windmill on a hot and dusty old dirt.

Abandoned North Texas Windmill

Back in July 2017 I decided I wanted to explore North West Gainsville, Texas and take the back the roads up towards Spanish Fort, Texas. I did my research and found about 20 different spots to check out and explore during my road trip in August. One of my accidental finds was this abandoned North Texas Windmill. Hidden in a stand of trees nearby was an old barn or house. I’ve always planned to make my way back in after trees drop their leaves and see what’s hidden the trees. Hopefully this year I will make it out there and see what’s in the trees.

About the Image

The abandoned North Texas Windmill was shot on a cloudy day in August using my Sony a6000 Camera and with a Sony E 55-210mm F4.5-6.3 Lens from the fence line. I then edited the image with Adobe Lightroom CC and Topaz Labs A.I. Clear and DXO NIK Collection to clean up the image, remove noise, and recover the lost details.
