The Butterfly Palace in Branson, Missouri
Back in September 2014 work sent me to Branson, MO for the week. On the morning I had to start my drive back to Dallas, I decided to visit the Butterfly Palace. It was the perfect time to catch the butterflies at feeding time. During feeding they are normally more active and when they are feeding you can catch that perfect shot of a butterfly feeding or stretching its wings.
The Butterfly Palace in Branson, Missour is a nice butterfly house with a rain-forest theme. Along with the butterfly house, they have several other small displays and information about the rainforest.
It’s a fun place and worth the stop if you have children who love insects or if you are photographer. Just make sure to bring a fast telephoto long lens and tripod/monopod to help steady your shot.

About the Image
I shot this image in a sunny and bright room with my Sony NEX-3N and a Sony SEL55210mm 4.5-6.3 OSS Lens during the early morning hours by hand. I then edited it in Adobe Lightroom. Next, I post processed with Topaz Clarity to add texture, bright the image, and bring out the details in the image. Then removed the dust spots and rain spots. I then used Topaz DeNoise to remove the noise from the image.
