The other day I was out driving and happened to come across the fall colors at the Municipal Park in Princeton, Texas. I just had to stop and explore the new park and walking trails. Here are some pictures I took with an old cell phone.
Fall Colors at The Municipal Park in Princeton, Texas
The park sits on the remains of an old farm and the trail follows the small hills, small valleys, and circles around the old ponds the farmers built back when the land was an active farm. Today, the land hosts municipal buildings, the park, and a nearby new community.
The city did a great job with the modern design of the buildings and adding a nice little community park. I just wish they could have added more to the trails. It’s only about .7 miles. There isn’t much room to add more trails but maybe in the future connector trails might be a way to add more miles to the trail system.
During my hike, I came across several trees starting to get their fall colors. In a few weeks, the trees will be in peak color and perfect for a walk.
I had planned to come back with my camera and take some better shots but two days after taking these pictures when had a bad storm passed through the area and blew away most of the leaves.
About the Images
The Fall Colors at The Municipal Park in Princeton, Texas were shot with an old iPhone 6 with a polarized lens filter from Ssesenpro (this kit works with most cell phones). I then used Adobe Lightroom CC, Topaz Labs Denoise AI and Topaz Labs Sharpen AI, and Aurora HDR to edit the images.
