A few weekends ago, my wife and I had a date night at White Rock Lake, Dallas, Texas. Actually, it was a date during the day. We decided last minute, and it was going to a few places we used to love when we were first married, living in the White Rock Lake area.

Visiting White Rock Lake Coffee, Dallas, Texas

We left early afternoon and drove the hour-plus down to the first stop. Our first stop was the original White Rock Lake Coffee House (they now have multiple locations in the DFW area). I can’t remember what my wife had, and I didn’t take pictures of the tasty drink. I had my favorite drink Iced Cafe Mocha. It was as good as I remember it!

Our next stop was a two-mile walk along the hiking/biking trail at White Rock Lake. When we were first married, our apartment was right on the park, and we spent a lot of time exploring and watching the sunsets.

During this trip I took a few pictures during our walk of the wildlife, people on the lake, and a huge structure fire that the smoke could be seen from the other side of the lake.

Tongue N Cheek

Our final stop was Tongue N Cheek in Richardson, Texas. This location wasn’t around when we were first married, but we’ve been wanting to try their ice cream for years. But with my wife and not able to eat dairy we weren’t able to try it out. Recently they added vegan options!

I had coconut chocolate and vegan chocolate.

My wife had Lavender Honey, and I can’t remember the flavor.

About the Images

I shot the images with my Nikon D5000 w/ kit lens and my Google Pixel 7 Pro, and was edited on my iPad 10th Gen. I then used Luminar for iPad and Adobe Lightroom Mobile to clean up the image and other items that were in the way.
