The US98 Homochitto River Bridge in Franklin County, Mississippi is still an active bridge with vehicles passing over the bridge every few minutes. The bridge is in great shape but is showing its age. Most of the metal is showing signs of rust and could use some paint.

When I visited the bridge it was a busy day and took some time getting pictures without vehicles on it. So I spent a lot of time exploring the river bed under and around the bridge. During my visit the river was low so I was able to walk along the sandy banks for miles if I wanted.

About the Images

The images were shot during bright sunlight with a mixture of storm clouds coming into the are using my Sony a6000 and my Sony SELP18105G E PZ 18-105mm F4 G OSS with a UV Filter by hand or using my SunPak 6700m Monopod. I then edited the images with Adobe Lightroom CC and Topaz Labs Denoise AI and Topaz Labs Sharpen AI and DXO NIK Collection to clean up the image, remove noise, and recover the lost details.
