Just a few weeks ago, this happened to me while working on a client’s computer. Windows Add or Remove Programs says the program didn’t exist, but that was a lie. I found that yes some of the files were removed, but for some reason, the registry entries and a few select files were still present and I couldn’t even do a manual removal of the files because the system thought the program was still active.

Final Thoughts

Revo Uninstaller is one of my favorite uninstallers and it has helped me out on several occasions since I started using the program. I have tried other uninstallers in the past and they did the job, but I wasn’t impressed and they still left a lot files behind. Revo Uninstaller may not remove all files but it does get rid of most of the files and does a good job at cleaning up the extra leftover files.
