Review: UGREEN Qi2 15W MagFlow Wireless Charger

A few months back Amazon sent me the UGREEN Qi2 15W MagFlow Wireless Charger to review and I have to say it’s a great little MagSafe Charger. It’s currently hooked up to a UGREEN USB-C to USB-C cable (also available on UGREEN.com) on my wife’s bedside table ready to charge her iPhone 12.

UGREEN Qi2 15W MagFlow Wireless Charger – The Review

Overall, I’m impressed with this charger. But I do have some issues with it and my wife doesn’t like it that much. She’d prefer the 2-in-1 charging feature to be for an Apple Watch instead of wireless charger for the Apple iPods.

First Impressions

The charger comes nicely packaged and ready to be displayed as you are taking it out of the box. I found the charger to be heavy and not ideal for travel. But perfect for setting by the bed or at the desk. The included cable is too short (it only works if your power outlet is close to the desk. If not, a six-foot cable will be needed. You will also need to provide a 30-watt wall charger (15 watt for minimal performance). Currently I’m using a cheap 15-watt wall charger, and it works fine. I lost my  UGREEN 30W USB C Nexode Charger and will probably start using it with the charger to take full advantage of the speeds.

The device itself looks nice, built well, and heavy. Honestly it looks out of place on my wife’s bedside table but looks good on her office desk. It has a simple modern look to it. Perfect for a modern desk theme.

Real Life Usage

Testing was done with my wife’s iPhone 12 with a MagSafe Case. The magnet holds the phone in place tight and doesn’t fall off.

When charging the device, it stays warm to the touch and so does the phone. The only area that gets hot is the area around the connection and that area isn’t that hot. It shouldn’t burn you. Just hot like my most wireless chargers do when charging.

Charging

Charging is fast. It’s fast as other wireless charging devices I’ve tried with apple. I haven’t tested total time from 20% to 80% like I normally do and that’s only because it’s my wife phone and I don’t want to keep her away from her phone.

Final Thoughts

The UGREEN Qi2 15W MagFlow Wireless Charger is a great charger. It’s fast, reliable and works with MagSafe products. I haven’t tried charging a pair of Air Pods and that’s only because I don’t have a pair to try. If this charger isn’t the one for you, make sure to check out UGREEN.com for all your charging needs.
