Do you own an older Sony a6000 to a6300 camera and lost the eyecup or maybe want a more comfortable option to put your face up to? If that’s the case, you need to look at the Kiwifoto Sony a6000 a6100 a6300 Eyecup Replacement. This eyecup is a direct replacement option but slightly larger than the original one. A few weeks later I decided it was time to replace mine and decided I wanted one that was larger than the stock one. So far I love it and wished I had gotten this years ago. Below is my review.

No products found.

The eyecup comes in a small retail box about the same size as the eyecup. There were no instructions on how to install it. But you really do not need it. It’s plug-in play on the original eyepiece mount.

The eyecup is made of silicone and will mold to your face when you press your face to the viewfinder. With a proper seal, the eyecup will block out the light. This is extremely important when shooting outside on a sunny day.

Using the Sony a6000 a6100 a6300 Eyecup Replacement

I bought my Sony a6000 from a friend. She had bought from Best Buy as an open box deal. She didn’t like the camera and I did. At the time, I didn’t realize the eyecup was missing. I thought it was just a poor design on Sony’s part. A few years later I saw on Amazon eyecup replacements. I finally decided to give one a try. Mainly wanted to see if it would help me see better on those bright days.

I haven’t much time with the new eyecup. I’ve shot a few products for review and one outside shot on a gloomy afternoon. I found it to do a nice job at blocking out light and other distractions you might see without an eyecup.

The installation is easy. It’s plug-n-play. Once in place, it doesn’t come out unless I want it to come out.

If I have any issues with the Kiwifoto Sony a6000 a6100 a6300 Eyecup Replacement, then I will update this review. Since it works as designed, it’s inexpensive and made well, I think this might be a good option for you.
