In a previous review I mentioned starting a new job and one of the perks was a new computer hardware so I can have a reliable home office setup. In addition to the keyboard and mouse they gave me a new Dell 24” Monitor P2422HE. This monitor has been a great tool in the office and at work. I’ve been using this model for almost 6 months, and I haven’t found an issue with it.

Dell 24” Monitor P2422HE – The Review
The Monitor comes with everything you need to connect your laptop to the monitor. It even has a built-in universal docking station. It has Thunderbolt ports, LAN ports, and HDMI ports. The monitor is even designed to daisy chain several monitors together.
The setup for me is simple I set it up using only the PD cable connecting to my old Alienware computer I use as a standing desk workstation or use the station when working from home and want to stand for a while. So far it works great for my home needs
At work everything connects to it. The monitor is daisy-chained to another Dell monitor. Using the network connection on the laptop is a nice feature as well. It’s quick and stable. It’s great for an office environment.
At home using it for other things its good for the average user. The video quality is good but not great. My 10-year-old Asus gaming monitors are slightly better. I wouldn’t use these for hardcore gaming or movie watching. But for causal use, the monitor wouldn’t be bad.
As other professional reviewers have mentioned, for video and imaged editing these monitors aren’t designed for that. I would use these mostly for office work or maybe even turning vertical and using it as a long text reading monitor.
Final Thoughts
It’s a great a monitor and I will continue to use mine and may even get another one if I can find one on the cheaper side. They make a great office monitor, and I could use another one to add to my work from home workstation. Currently, I’m new, open box, and used on eBay.
