Wild White Cherry Blossoms in North Texas

Last spring my in-laws came into town and one of the things they love to do is go on a nature hike (my  wife and I like to go for hikes as well). We didn’t see much wild life on this trip but I was able to get some pictures on early in the season of a honey bee harvesting nectar from small white flowers on a native flowering tree.

After some research I found these little flowers are wild black cherry trees that bloom in the spring and can be found through out North Texas.

For me, this made my day. I love photographing honey bees at work. I only wished I could have gotten closer.

About the Image

This image was shot with my Sony a6000 with a Sony E 55-210mm F4.5-6.3 Lens shot at full extension by hand. I then edited the image with Adobe Lightroom, NIK Collection to remove noise and clean up the images. I can’t remember, I may have used Topaz Labs to enhance the image.
