This week’s random image is another image for the Longwood Plantation photo shoot I did back in early November.

Longwood Plantation

The Longwood Plantation

The Longwood Plantation were the dreams of Dr. Haller Nutt, a wealthy cotton Plantation owner. Dr. Nutt had plans to build Longwood for his himself, wife and his eight children. Their home was to be built in the 19th Century Oriental Revival Style and would have been of the grandest houses in Natchez, Mississippi. To Learn more about this house and its history, check out the article I wrote on my personal blog.

About the Image

This was suppose to be the front entry to the house that was never completed. I took this image from the front lawn at the edge of the large moss covered trees. I took this shot with my Sony Nex-3N with the pancake kit lens, then processed it with Adobe Lightroom and post processed the image with Topaz Labs Clarity to add more texture and contrast. I finished processing the image with some vignetting.
