This week’s random image is from a wedding celebration I attended for a close friend of mine a few years back. Since I was part of the wedding party I was given access to the groom’s dressing room. The dressing room came with a fruit tray and Champagne to help the groom and wedding party to relax and have fun. Although most of the time we were hanging out and goofing off, I did manage to get some quick photos during our time back there.

About the Image
This image was shot in low light without a flash using the Sony Nex-3N in low light settings. During the wedding, I was trying to get a feel for the lens and the camera and see if the kit lens was good enough for low light shots with out a flash.
What I found was the lens is to slow and the camera creates noise in the background. I had a lot of great shots that were ruined because I shot using settings I thought would be ok for that lens. Basically, you need to shoot with a flash and diffuser whenever possible to capture those great memories.
I am impressed at how well this image and the Champagne flowing into the glass turned out. Hopefully with a better lens, I will see the full potential of this great camera. As for the processing, I used Adobe Lightroom 5 and Topaz Clarity to clean up the image and enhance the look of the image. I finished off the image by adding a vignetting.
