The Old Thurber Ranch Office # 2 and Water Filtration Facility in Thurber, Texas

The Old Thurber Ranch Office # 2 and Water Filtration Facility is one of the few remaining building left in the town of Thurber. There isn’t much left of the building. Its mostly a shell now. The roof fell in years ago and much of what was left in the building was ruined when the roof collapsed.

I haven’t done much research of the building the historical record says the building was built around 1900 and was a two story L-shaped building. The first floor was actually built just below grade of the surrounding land and housed water filtration equipment and the second floor housed the offices. The filtration equipment was build and designed to supply fresh clean water for the town.

About the Image

The image was shot by hand early morning on a sunny day. I used a Sony A6000 with a Sony SEL16F28 16mm f/2.8 Wide-Angle Lens.  I then edited the images with Adobe Lightroom CC and Topaz Labs Denoise AI and Topaz Labs Sharpen AI and DXO NIK Collection to clean up the image, remove noise, and recover the lost details.
