This week’s random Image is of the small rural church, Lannius United Methodist Church in Lannius, Texas. I found the church a few years back while on a road trip exploring Fannin County, Texas.

Lannius United Methodist Church in Lannius,Texas

Before 1882 there was only one church in Lannius, Texas and that was the Presbyterian Church. The church drew a large member from those settlers that settled the area. Eventually the church split and in 1882 Lannius United Methodist Church was organized (Source: Fannin County Historical Commission).

Today Lannius United Methodist Church in Lannius, Texas is still active but has a small membership. They still hold Sunday school (several times a month) and services on Sunday.

About the Image

This Lannius United Methodist Church in Lannius, Texas was shot on sunny and windy day using my Sony a6000 Camera and with a Sony SEL16F28 16mm f/2.8 lens.  I then edited the image with Adobe Lightroom CC and Topaz Labs Denois AI and Topaz Labs Sharpen AI and DXO NIK Collection to clean up the image, remove noise, and recover the lost details.
