This week random image of the week is another image from the West Texas road trip I took back in 2017. The image is another one from the Cross Cut area. This one is of an abandoned Buick sitting in the grass near Cross Cut, Texas.

Sitting near the old farm truck I posted about last week sits an old Buick and a few other vehicles in the tall grass.

I didn’t get close to the car. The grass was tall and it was snake season. From the road this old car looks someone’s old family car. The family probably got a new car and retired this one and forgot about it. If I ever make it out that way again, I plan on stopping by for more pictures.

I shot the old Buick on a bright and sunny early afternoon with my Sony a6000 and a Sony SEL16F28 16mm f/2.8 lens. I then edited the image in Adobe Lightroom CC. I used Topaz Labs A.I. Clear and DXO NIK Collection to clean up the image, remove noise, and recover the lost details.
