This week’s random image was taken during our 2024 Family Vacation in Western Michigan. During our drive from Chicago, we made a side trip to explore the campus of the University of Notre Dame. Since a child I wanted to visit or even go to the school. But as I got older, things changed but I still have a soft spot for the University. The picture was taken from one of the main roads into the campus with view of the Golden Dome.

In 1844 the University was officially chartered by the Indiana legislature. The University of Notre Dame has carried out its mission for more than 175 years. –  University of Notre Dame History

During our visit there was a lot of construction and much of the roads were blocked. If we wanted to get to the Golden Dome we were going to have to walk. But with our limited time, we couldn’t stop and make the short walk down the closed road to get a better look. Maybe next time…

About the Image

This image was shot on a sunny day using my Google Pixel 7 Pro. The image was edited on my iPad 10th Gen. I then used Luminar for iPad and Adobe Lightroom Mobile to clean up the image and remove cars, people, powerlines, and other items that were in the way.
