This week’s random image is another one from our 2024 Chicago Trip. The picture was taken during the riverboat tour along the Chicago River in downtown Chicago. This bridge caught my eye, and I had to take a quick shot as we were floating by. It’s of an Old Drawbridge on the Chicago River

Old Drawbridge on the Chicago River

The Old Drawbridge on the Chicago River is a permanently closed bridge known as the Kinzie Street Railroad Bridge. The bridge was opened in 1908 and closed in 2000 after the last train ran across the bridge. In 2007 the bridge was given a historical landmark designation. – Wiki

At some point, I will do more research on the bridge and check to see if I have any more photos or videos of the bridge and share them in a separate article.

About the Image

This image was shot on a sunny day using my Google Pixel 7 Pro. The image was edited on my iPad 10th Gen. I then used Luminar for iPad and Adobe Lightroom Mobile to clean up the image.
