My Thoughts on the HooToo TripMate Elite
When traveling for work, I had to carry a smartphone, tablet and a laptop along with my camera gear. With that much gear, there were times. I couldn’t find enough outlets to power my tech. To make matters worse, some of the hotels even capped you on how many devices that could be logged on to the network. Normally this isn’t an issue, but my laptop and tablet doesn’t have mobile services.
In the hotel room, having all my devices logged into my secured router would be great and at times I thought about bringing a travel router with me. But with this device can do that for you or if you want you could share mobile broadband from your smartphone to your devices.
I do not travel as much as I use to, now I do weekend rural explores of Texas or overnight trips for different photography shoots. After the shoot, I like to view the pictures before moving on to the next location if I can. Its hard to see how well an image turned on the back of the camera. Pulling the card and installing into the Hootoo for view would make it easier to see the images. Plus I like to share some of my images on Instagram and Facebook, so uploading those images is easier with the personal cloud.
During one of my last trips, my friend and I were short on charging ports on her car. Luckily we had a couple power packs and were able to drain those out over the trip. If the trip had lasted another few hours and my phone and hers would have died. Having some extra power like the HooToo’s power pack would have been helpful.
This device looks a great tool to add to travel gear. At some point, I want to get my hands on one of these and do a review of the product. Most of the reviews on amazon were 4+ stars. Get yours today and let us know what your thoughts on this device.
