Its October, so that means Microsoft has finally released its new operating system, Windows 8, and its has had some success. Although I haven’t tested out the new OS, I am a bit impressed with it but I’m not ready to see if Windows 8 is the right move for my systems.
Microsoft Offers a Windows 8 Pro Promotion
The good news is, if you have purchased a Windows 7 PC between June 2012 or purchasing a Windows 7 machine through January 2013 you are eligible to get an upgrade copy of Windows 8 Pro for only $14.99. But Microsoft doesn’t make it to easy for you. They will want to verify a few things before giving you Windows 8 for this get introductory price. All you have to do is go to Windows Upgrade Offer page and fill some information out about your current computer and they will scan your system (not sure what they do) or at least check your Windows 7 key to see if you are eligible. If you are eligible then they will instruct you on how to get your copy of Window 8.

Should I Upgrade to Windows 8
There are those that love Windows 8 and those that don’t. I have checke out reviews, tutorials, and videos of the beta versions of Windows 8 and I have to say that I am impressed with Windows 8 but I as I mentioned, I am not ready to upgrade.
Will I upgrade to Windows 8? At some point, I will or at least setup a Windows 8 box or run a virtual Windows 8 system for testing. But right now, I want to wait see how the OS does over the next few months.
