Random Picture of the Week #21: The Traveling Man Statue in Deep Ellum, Dallas, Texas

This week’s random image was taken 3  summers during during a photo walk I did down in Deep Ellum, Dallas, Texas. This giant steel statue is of The Traveling Man Statue series that can be found near the Deep Ellum Dart Rail Station.

The Traveling Man Statue in Deep Ellum

When first arriving at the Deep Ellum Rail Station, you will see the 38 foot tall statue of The Traveling Man that welcomes visitors and residents of the neighborhood This statue is part of series, that can be found in the general area the rail station. Near the old Union Banker building, you can see another cool robot sitting back playing his guitar. Then across the street, there are a couple of steel bird statues. The same birds can been on and around the giant robots.

About the Image

This image was shot with my Sony Nex-3N with a Sigma 30mm f2.8 DN E Mount Lens, then I processed it with Adobe Lightroom to crop, straightened, and remove dust spots from the image. Then I post processed the image with Topaz Labs Clarity to add more texture, remove shadows, boost brightness, and contrast.
