About the Abandoned 1957 – 1959 Ford Fairlane Coupe in in Megargel, Texas

During my photo trips I am always on the look out for side trips and other abandoned vehicles and buildings. One of the unplanned stops I had to take was in the town of Megargel, Texas. Although this town isn’t the smallest town or a ghost town, it does have a quite a few abandoned buildings and cars. One of those abandonments was this old Ford Fairlane that sitting on the edge of an abandoned house in town. I’m not sure of the year of the Fairlane. There is simply not enough of her left for me to know what year she came off the assembly line. I believe this one to be a second generation coupe.

About the Image

This image was shot with my Sony Nex-3N with a Sigma 30mm f2.8 DN E Mount Lens, then I processed it with Adobe Lightroom to crop, straightened, and remove dust spots from the image. Then I post processed the image with Topaz Labs Clarity to add more texture, remove shadows, boost brightness, and contrast.
