This week’s random image of week is of Marysville Baptist Church in Marysville, Texas. I came across this old church when I was exploring the ghost town (a handful of people live in the area) that is difficult to get to.

Marysville Baptist Church in Marysville, Texas

Maryville Baptist Church in Marysville, Texas was established in 1871 and the first building was built in 1878. The building you see in the picture is the second building that was built in 1925. Today the church is still active and serves those still living in the area.

Getting to Maryville, Texas isn’t that easy to get to. You have to drive down miles and miles of gravel roads to visit this little church and those remaining buildings and houses in town.

About the Image

The Marysville Baptist Church in Marysville, Texas was shot on a bright sunny day in August using my Sony a6000 Camera and with a Sony SEL16F28 16mm f/2.8 lens.  I then edited the image with Adobe Lightroom CC and Topaz Labs A.I. Clear and DXO NIK Collection to clean up the image, remove noise, and recover the lost details.
