On September 1st, 2012 (Labor Day weekend), we were lucky enough to hit up two car shows! The first one was the Cars and Coffee Show and The Invasion Car Show in Deep Ellum (Downtown Dallas, Texas). The show was fun but we weren’t prepared for it. Hopefully next year, we will be.
2012 Invasion Car Show
For us, we were lucky to be in the right place at the right time. Normally, I have to work weekends, so when I ended up having the weekend off, So when I ended up getting a weekend off without asking, my wife and I took advantage and we went down to Deep Ellum and few other places.
While down there, we heard about a car show and decided to check it out. Luckily, I had my little point-in-shoot with me. But, the battery was about dead from shooting the Cars and Coffee Show. So I decided to shoot more of a street photography look trying to get people in the shots of the cars or those walking by.
I took a lot of images and I am sitting on a lot of images and will be constantly adding more from the show. Hopefully I will be able post another article of the car show soon. All images posted have been edited in Adobe Lightroom 3 or Photoshop CS4. To see the rest of the images and future images of the car show, check them out on Flicker.
Love this series of shots, James. There are some real awesome rides captured here.
Thanks Jimi! I was drooling over a few of those rat rods. They were giving me inspiration to get rid my K5 Blazer and pick up an old car to make a rat rod out of. Now the trouble is finding a car that speaks to me…
