During the Labor day holiday (September 1st) weekend a friend and I attended a monthly car show up in Plano, Texas and I was able to shoot some of the cars.
Cars and Coffee Car Show
The car show that I attended is called Cars and Coffee Dallas. That car show is the first Saturday of every month and it starts about 8 a.m and goes to about noon. But most cars start leaving about 10. Its not really a car show but a meet where car lovers and get together and talk about cars and show off their rides and drink coffee. During the meet you can purchase coffee, juices, and energy drinks from volunteers. all purchased drinks are actually a donation to a charity group so you can donate as much as you want or just a little if that’s all you can afford.
At the show, you can find anything from Exotics to rat rods. This set of images is only the first few cars I saw that day. Since I was with a friend and we both had to be at other appointments across town, I shot mostly from the hip and tried for a street photography look since I couldn’t get any free time with the cars.
How to Get the Cars and Coffee Show Dallas Location
The Dallas location is actually in Plano, Texas just off North Dallas Toll way and Spring Creek. The show is in the parking lot of Classic BMW. Just find a place a park and hike on over to the show. If you get there late you may have to park in the near by field or even farther out.
The First Set of Images from Cars and Coffee
All images were shot with a Canon Point-n-Shoot and were edited with Adobe Lightroom 3 and Photoshop CS4. In a few weeks I will post another set of these images.
Nerf Me! A Sliver Lotus
When I first walked into the car show, I cam across this sexy little Lotus with no around so I had to setup for the perfect shot.
This Lotus Elise is a small two seat rear wheel drive mid-engine roaster and first was released to the public in 1996 by Lotus Cars. The car is made from hand-finished fiberglass and the chassis made from extruded aluminum which gives the a rigid platform for the suspension all while keeping the light weight. Source – Wiki
A Bunch of Lotuses in a Row
Right next to the sliver lotus are several other sexy looking Lotuses and I believe were all Elise’s as well. When you see all these cars lined up and the owners all talking and joking around with each other you know they are part of a Lotus car club.

The Ferrari 458 Italia is a mid-engined sports car that is powered by a 4.5L V8 that produces 562 hp and red lines at 6,000 rpm. The Italia also holds the world record for the most per liter in a naturally aspirated production car engine. Source: Wiki
Blue Lamborghini Gallardo
The Lamborghini Gallardo comes with two transmissions options, the H-Box six speed manual transmissions or a six-speed electro-hydraulically controlled by a semi-automatic robotized manual.
Depending on what version and year Gallardo you have, it comes with a V10 engine that can produce 500 – 570 hp. Source: Wiki

Model A Rat Rod
I came across this old Ford Model A rat rod. I have seen it a few times at different car shows and would love to have one of these as a daily driver.
Impala Front Profile
While at the show, I came across this polished up chromed front on an old Impala. It’s a great looking car but nothing really special accept for the highly polished front end.

[…] documented these spottings, but I do have a video I took of one speeding off from one of the Cars and Coffee Show. The video is short and it shows just how quiet these cars can be. This video has spectators […]
